Orrin served faithfully in many church callings throughout his life, including as a bishop of the Rexburg Second Ward, a temple sealer in the Idaho Falls and Dallas temples, and a patriarch in the Rexburg, Idaho Stake where he gave over 990 patriarchal blessings.

For many years he taught Seminary in Byron and Cowley, Wyoming; Roosevelt, Utah; Driggs, Idaho; and Rexburg, Idaho. He completed his teaching career by teaching religion and psychology at Ricks College, where he retired in 1985.
