Alta Louise Steele Leafty Turner died on Feb 8,1991 in Provo,Utah. Born to Delbert and Louise Steele on Oct 22,1908. She married Lewis R. Leafty in 1924, He died in 1943. She then married Jasper Turner in 1953, he died in 1973. Alta graduated from BYU and taught school in Colorado and New Mexico. She shared her painting,poetry and music with others. She was a member of the LDS Church. Survived by one daughter and two sons grndchildren and great grandchildren. preceded in death by infant son Richard and Husband Lewis.
