They were married in Fannin County, Texas. Six children were born to them, 5 boys and a girl, Larry Don, Jimmy Dean (who preceded Archie in death) Michael Boyd, Becky Carlene, Jackie Glen, and Dwight Lynn.
Archie retired from E-Systems as an aircraft electrician but was known around Leonard as the TV man. He was one of the best TV repairmen in town. After retiring from E-systems, he started a small engine repair shop where he spent his summer days repairing lawnmowers.
My dad's love was his family. There was never anything that my dad would not do for one of us kids. He was by no means a saint but in a little girl's eyes or in the eyes of his grown daughter, he was my saint.
