James Eads Sheridan, 54, of Williamstown, died Feb. 3, 2002, at Grant Medical Center of Columbus, Ohio.
He was born July 1, 1947 in Parkersburg, a son of the late Paul J. and Norma Eads Sheridan.
He was a 1966 graduate of Parkersburg Catholic High School and a Vietnam Veteran serving with the U.S. Marines. He worked for Walker Manufacturing for 24 years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #594, the John M. Yencha Assembly 1187 of the 4th Degree and the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
Surviving are his wife of 31 years Sharon Givens Sheridan of Williamstown; two daughters, Margaret Catherine Spindler and her husband Ryan and Anne Elizabeth Sheridan; one granddaughter, Jamey Abigail Spindler all of Columbus; one sister, Alice Sheridan Roush and her husband Paul of Belpre; one brother Paul Jeffry Sheridan and his wife Margaret of Memphis, Tenn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Edward Bell officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post #15. Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. on Thursday with Christian wake service at 8 p.m. at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green Street, Parkersburg. Memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus Council #594 Scholarship Fund.
