Buddy L. Miller, 72, of Parkersburg died July 20, 1999 at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Griffithsville, WV, a son of the late Lee and Mary Harless Miller. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a 50-year member of Griffithsville Lodge 71 AF&AM of Griffithsville. He was retired from DuPont Corp. after 42 years of service as a maintenance foreman, having worked at the Belle and Washington Works plants. He was a member of the South Parkersburg Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday School teacher and a past member of the deacon board.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Betty Smith Miller of Parkersburg; one daughter Paulette "Polly" Dyke and her husband Keith of Knoxville, Tenn.; one son David Lee Miller and his wife Kasondra of Richmond, Va.; three grandchildren, Victoria Dyke Rowe of Louisville, Ky., Alisha Miller and Eric Miller both of Richmond, Va.; one brother, Thomas Miller of Huntington; and one sister, Dottie Clark of Vorhees NJ.
Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg, Pastor Ed Rogers, officiating. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Parkersburg, with a Masonic graveside rites by Mount Olivet Lodge 3. Visitation from 3-5 and 6-9 p.m. today.
