Daniel E. "Dan" Fravil, 95, 700 North H. St., Monmouth, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 1994, at Aledo Health Care Center.

Mr. Fravil was born Nov. 22, 1899, in Harrison County, Ind., the son of Edward and Martha Kitterman Fravel. He married Cuba Crystal Kishline on Nov. 16, 1918, in Corydon, Ind.

They moved to western Illinois in 1919 where he was involved in business and farming enterprises in Mercer, Henderson and Warren counties, retiring near Stronghurst in 1965 and moving to Monmouth.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Monmouth, and had served in a volunteer capacity in many community activities.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Martha Simons, Colorado Springs; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; a brother, Herman Fravil, Georgetown, Ind.; and nieces and nephews.
