Bob's parentage is unknown. He moved from New York to Pennsylvania as a child. After his parents died young, he and his sister Dorothy lived with his aunt Irma Feuerstein for many years.
He graduated from Frenchtown High School, Frenchtown, Hunterdon Co., New Jersey in 1941.
Bob served his country in the army during World War II. He then worked as a machine operator for Riegel Paper in Milford, Hunterdon Co. before retiring in 1984.
He resided in Upper Black Eddy, Bucks Co., Pennsylvania for most of his life. He loved his home, which was between the Delaware Canal and the Delaware River.
Bob was married to the widowed Grace Marie Shoudt LaFevre on Dec. 17, 1960 in Milford.
He was a very kind and personable man who became a beloved surrogate grandfather to Grace's seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. They were fortunate to have him in their lives.
After Grace's death in 1990, Bob kept company with May Snyder, who died less than a month after he passed away.
