He was a World War II veteran. Combat Medic and Ambulance driver. While he was in the war his Dad passed away. His mother had moved to California. So upon coming home to Fertile there was nothing left for him. He moved to California. He met my mother and they dated for awhile. They married in 1948. He worked at McClellen Airforce Base For 30 years. He retired in 1980. Mom died that year. Dad remarried six months later to Virginia Clark. He loved to dance, play the guitar and harmonica, and socialize. Dad and Virginia spent 32 happy years together.
