Mr. Hines, whose home is at
115 Green street in this city, was
superintendent of the Kenipton
canning plant and was a man
who had many friends in this city
and at Kempton where he was
well known. He was born near
Bloomfield, a son of Mr. and Mrs.
L. C. Hines of that community.

years ago. The wife has been
d e a d f o r a number of years but
h e i s survived by two children by
the marriage, a daughter Guila,
1 5 a n d a s o n John Calvin, 13.
H e i s a l s o survived by the par-
ents, two siters, Mrs. G. E. Cook
of Indianapolis and Mrs. Mary Suits
of Detroit and a brother Charles Hines of Stockland, Ill.
Mr. Hines was taken ill with appendicitis several weeks ago and was taken to the parents home at Bloomfield, from which he was taken to the hospital at Linton where an operation was performed. Peritonitis developed following the operation and this caused the death. Notice was sent to this city and the Leatherman ambulance went after the body which was brought to this city and prepared for burial.
