Johann Riehm was born in Leiman, Heidelberg, Germany in 1687. Him and his wife Anna came to Philidelphia Pennsylvania to escape catholic Persecution in Germany, since they were Lutheran and followed martin Luther's ways, they couldn't stay in Germany due to religious persecution, so they set out on a Palatine ship going to Pennsylvania. He was on the ship for 6 months very sick and with his pregnant wife Anna, he brought bread with him onto the ship which spoiled cause back years ago they didn't have fridges or any way to store stuff to keep it fresh.
