Charlotte Rhea Lunsford, 68, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
She was born March 6, 1940, in Madison, the daughter of Alexander Closten and Margaret Ellen Mauck Wagner. She lived most of her life in Madison before moving to North Vernon. She retired from the Muscatatuck State Developmental Center as a qualified medical aide and served as a union representative. She was a member of the Baptist faith and was a former member and president of Jefferson Post 9 of the American Legion. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and "Jeopardy," and was a Dodgers fan.
She is survived by three daughters, Connee R. Sauley of Madison, Ellen Gaebes of North Vernon and Ruth Miles of Lexington; one son, Robert L. Lunsford of Brookeville, Md.; eight grandchildren; and three nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, William Wagner.
A private family service was held. Cremation was chosen.
