Frederick S. Atmore

Frederick S. Atmore, 63, of 705 N. Columbia, died Monday, September 2, 1985, at Edward Hospital. He was born February 8, 1922, in Evanston.
Mr. Atmore was retired from AT&T, after 36 years of service as an engineering associate. A veteran of World War II, 96th Division, U.S. Army, he was a member of VFW Judd Kendall Post 3873; Euclid Lodge 65 A.F. & A.M. and former Past Master; and a former Past Master of Good Fellowship Lodge 1043 A.F. & A.M. He was a member of the Chorus of DuPage, SPEBSQSA; a member and head usher of Naperville Congregational Church; and a member of the Naperville Knife and Fork Club. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, and was active in the Naperville Humane Society.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; a son, Richard F. of Naperville; a sister, Mary (Conn) Mulligan of Naperville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen C. Yule.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow at Beidelman-Kunsch funeral home, with the Rev. Donald Limmer officiating. Interment will be in Naperville cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 until 9 p.m. Wednesday, with a Masonic service at 8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Naperville Congregational Church Memorial Fund.
