He resided in Chittenden County, Vermont prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on May 13, 1942 in Rutland, Vermont. He was noted as being employed as a routemen and also as Single, without dependents.

Edward was "Killed In Action" during the war and was awarded the Purple Heart.
