Donald served as a Sergeant, 115th Infantry, 29th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Chittenden County, Vermont prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on May 13, 1942 in Rutland, Vermont. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in the manufacture of textiles and also as Single, without dependents.

Donald "Died Of Wounds" received in action in France during the war and was awarded the Purple Heart.
