Debbie was a graduate of Jordan Matthews High School, Siler City NC and attended East Carolina University. She was a dedicated Chapter Member of the Eastern Star and Worthy Matron of Magnolia # 26, Southern Pines and a dual member of Carthage Chapter #154 and past Worthy Matron of the Siler City Chapter. Debbie loved to sing and sang in the choir at Jonesboro Heights Baptist Church when she and her husband moved to Sanford NC. She also sang in the choir for many years at First Baptist Church in Siler City when she lived there and had been a member there.
She was preceded in death by her step-father Glenn Goodwin Johnson (1924-1982)
