MRS. HENRY BAIER
Mrs. Christine Rose Baier, 82, 117 S. 2nd, died at 5:45 am Tuesday in St. John's Hospital after a long illness. She entered the hospital 12 days ago.
Mrs. Baier was the widow of the late Henry Baier, who was Salina's first watchmaker and jeweler. During the 57 years she lived in Salina, she had lived at 117 S. 2nd. Her husband died Dec. 12, 1956.
Mrs. Baier was born Oct. 9, 1977, in Chicago, Ill. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and was a life member of the Sacred Heart Ladies Guild.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. John Schwerman and Mrs. Ralph Worcester, both of Salina, Mrs. Anson Bridges, Salem, Ore., and Mrs. Glenn Stover, Santa Fe, N.M.; one son, Ray, Salina; one brother, Pete Ringwald, Wilmington, Calif; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday at 9 am, in Sacred Heart Cathedral, the Rt. Rev. John Duskie officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
A rosary will be at the Rush Smith Funeral Home at 8 pm Wednesday.
