Retired MSGT Alonza M. Allen, 55, of 804 Jackeys Creek Lane, Leland, North Carolina, peacefully departed the body on Friday, November 17, 2006.

Nicknamed "Rock" as a child, Alonza was born on October 25, 1951, in Wilmington, North Carolina, to Geneva Allen and the late Frederick Allen. "Rock" attended school in the New Hanover County School System, graduating from John T. Hoggard High School in the Class of 1970.

During his tenure, Alonza received numerous medals and commendations and retired as a Master Sergeant in 1991. You and my late sister were born just 5 days apart. Thank you for your service to your country, in support of the freedoms we all enjoy. May we never take them for granted! You will always be remembered.
