Dorothy Louise Hines, 86, a resident of the Barbour County Good Samaritan Center, formerly of the Laurel View Apartments, Belington, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, in the Good Samaritan Center following an extended illness.

She was born Feb. 15, 1917, in Valley City, Ohio, a daughter of Otto and Pauline (Zacharias) Dushenke. She was one of seven children.

Dorothy married Leonard Elmer Hines on October 27, 1962. He passed away on November 21, 1995.

Survivors in 2003 included a stepdaughter, Barbara Jean Postalwait, Webster Springs; one brother, Frank Dushenke, Medina, Ohio; four step-grandchildren, 12 step-great-grandchildren and four step-great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hines was a homemaker and a former nurse's aide in Medina, Ohio. She was a Lutheran by faith.
