RINGGOLD, LA – Services for Mr. Billie Shockley, 81, will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 10, 1998 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. J. C. Clement. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 9 after 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Shockley died Wednesday, July 8, 1998 at his residence. He was born in Pushmataha, OK, was a former resident of Elm Grove, La. and has resided in Ringgold for several years. Mr. Shockley was a drill press operator for the Brewster Co. and WKM. He was a member of the American Legion and the 40 & 8 for over 40 years, most currently at Koran Post 388 & 1588, respectively.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Sybil Shockley; three brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Billie Wayne Shockley and wife, Hazel of Ringgold, La.; Robert R. Shockley and wife, Bobby of Houston, TX; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
