I would like to thank each of you for your visits to my Mother on her first anniversary in Heaven. Your compassion and kindness means so much to me.
Annabel went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 19, 2013, with her daughter by her side, holding her hand.
Annabel was known for her perseverance during difficult many times throughout her life which came from her unwavering faith in God, for standing for what she believed in, her love for animals, her adorable smile and her wonderful sense of humor. She always had the gift of making people smile and laugh. She was Italian and loved to cook and eat Italian food. When she was younger, she also loved to make crafts.
My mom is loved by her children and they miss her dearly. She was a wonderful mother that sacrificed for her children, and raised them to love and revere God. I am so grateful to have her as my mom.
She loved all animals, especially cats, swans, ducks and birds. She loved flowers and trees. She always appreciated receiving flowers. Her favorites were bright daisies. I bought bright flowers for her every 2-3 weeks for many years. She always loved trees. Whenever we were in the car she would comment on how pretty they were. Autumn was her favorite season. I loved to take her "leaf peeping" as we call it in the Northeast every fall and then out to eat. She would gasp and stare and comment on how wonderful our Creator was for his marvelous works. She also loved it when it snowed on the trees. She would tell me "Deb, look at how God paints the trees". She loved the sound of birds chirping early in the morning. Just a couple of days before she died I took her outside and she and I spent time alone together. She closed her eyes and listened to the rustling of the trees and the birds singing. I wonder what she was thinking?
She loved the sound of cats purring. She loved to watch cats taking baths, she thought it was so cute and comical. She enjoyed watching Looney Toons. Tweety and Sylvester was her favorite. She would giggle at how Tweety always got the better of Sylvester, no matter how hard Sylvester always tried.
There are so many memories about my mom that are precious to me, I can't explain it. She is precious, precious, precious. I love her SO much.
I miss her so much, sometimes I can hardly bear the pain. But the Word of God says that her spirit is with the Lord, and I know that I will see her again one day. What a wonderful day that will be.
My mother was the most cherised person in my life, she took part of me with her.
A couple of my mother's favorite hymns.
~*~ This song ministers to me so much! I know my mother is experiencing unspeakable joy with the Lord. In her final days she listened to this song a lot, and closed her eyes. I know it comforted her.~*~
