Son of Verl Jackson and Veda Judkins Ferguson.

Michael attended Ogden High School, had a great sense of humor, loved music and wrote music that he shared with his family. He was a talented musician and lived to play his drums. He followed in his fathers footsteps and made a career in the car business in both Utah and Idaho.

He was a member of the LDS church.

On April 27, 1989 he married Lynda McMahon. They had 2 children, Matthew Ferguson and McKenzi Ferguson. He loved and helped raise his step children, Kyle and Ambyr. Lynda preceded him in death.

On Feb. 14, 2009 he married Jillian Sorensen and quickly made her children, Carsen and Mollie, an important part of his life.

He was survived by his wife, Jillian, children, step children, step grandchildren, mother, Veda Ferguson, and four sisters, Verla (Bill) Austin, Barbara (Ron) Mau, SannDee Stowell and Pat (Steve) Songer.Michael Verl Ferguson sas taken from us suddenly on Saturday, May 22, 2010.

He was born November 27, 1957 in Ogden, Utah to Verl Jackson Ferguson and Veda Judkins Ferguson.

Michael had a great love of music. He played the drums and sang in several bands. He composed many songs and wrote poetry that he shared with his family. He was a member of the LDS Church.

He had 4 step-children: Carsen Sorensen, Mollie Sorensen, Kyle Bates and Ambyr Bates and four step-grandchildren. Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda.

On February 14, 2009 he was married to Jillian Sorensen and quickly made her children Carsen and Mollie a part of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Jillian, his children, grandchildren, step-children, his mother Veda Ferguson, and four sisters; Verla (Bill) Austin, St. George, UT.; Barbara (Ron) Mau, Lompoc, CA.; SannDee Stowell, Ogden, UT; Pat (Steve) Songer, Huntsville, UT.

Services will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 11:00am at Leavitt's Mortuary 836 36th St. Ogden. Friends and family may call from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, May 26th, and one hour prior to services at the mortuary.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary: 5001 Angel Canyon Rd. Kanab, Utah 84741.
