Dolores Love was born Feb. 6, 1907 in Indiana to Luther G. and Emily (Laylan) White. She was one of four children. Her siblings include: sisters Marietta and Florence, and a brother, Henry, who died young from falling in a water barrel.
Dolores lived in a close knit neighborhood surrounded by the family of her husband and other close friends. She owned and operated "Love-ly Ceramics", a shop that she ran out of her home. She was a member of Asbury Methodist Church and LaCrosse Chapter 22 of the Order of Eastern Star.
Dolores was married to Albert William Love and they had three children together. On Mar. 12, 1959, Dolores passed away from acute lymphatic leukemia at the young age of 52 years 1 month and 6 days.
