S.E. died at Clifton, Texas in April 1966. She remarried James Eldridge Kyser in Temple, Bell County, Texas in 1974. Eldridge died at Clifton, Texas in 1996, and is buried in the Bazette Cemetery next to his first wife Lilla. Erma is buried next to her first husband Samuel Jenkins. Erma and S.E.'s infant twins and one other infant all died in childbirth.
