LAWNDALE — Mr. Charles DuVal Wagley, 63, of Lawndale, formerly of Bethesda, Md., died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.

He was born in Richmond, Va., the son of Marian DuVal Wagley and the late Charles A. Wagley. He was a retired paralegal for G.A.O. in Washington, D.C.

He attended Montreat College, Bellhaven College in Mississippi, The University of Maryland and Park College in Kansas City.

He proudly served his country in the Navy and retired from the Naval Reserves. During his active duty, he served in Vietnam from April 1979 to April 1970 in the Dong-Tan and Binh-Thuy areas.

He was a member of the Game Wardens of Vietnam Association, P.B.R. Forces Veterans Association, V.F.W. and First United Methodist Church of Lawndale.

For many years, he was a volunteer at the annual Goodwill book sale, Washington Cathedral Flower Mart and served as class agent for Montreat College.
