Johann or John a farmer was the son of Heinrich Zirkle and Eva Euphrosina Rezin of Germany. Like his parents and wife he was a Lutheran. He immgrated to America at the age of 19 during the year 1725.
He had a brother also named Johann who likely went by the name John in America. It is believed that our/this Johann actually went by the nick name of "Lewis".
Johann Ludwig Zirkle, "Lewis", married Maria Eva Bear during 1725 in Telford, Franconia Twp., Montgomery Co., PA. They had 8 children they named George Henry, Catherine, Michael, Maria Margareta, Andrew, George Adam, Ludwig Lewis and Peter Circle Zirkle.
April 2013 Burial Comments - Betsy Snook from the Little Zion Lutheran Church
Johann Ludwig Zirkle donated the land for the church and cemetery called the "Little Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery" (Indianfield Graveyard) in Montgomery Co., PA.
However; upon his death he was buried in the Fuhrman Cemetery which was located at GPS 40 19 19.69 N 75 20 49.36W - Very near the Little Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Fuhrman Cemetery is no longer in existence. It seems that the cemetery was eventually plowed into farmland and there is now a housing development located on the site.
Some of the markers from the old Fuhrman cemetery have shown up for sale. The Little Zion Church has acquired some of these markers and have put them together in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.
See photo for locatin of Fuhrman graveyard.
