JULIAN HENRY O'NEAL, 73, of Lorida, Fla., passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009, in Okeechobee, Fla.
He was born July 30, 1935, to Julian Edward and Zora (Farrier) O'Neal in Bartow, Fla., and had been a resident of Lorida since 1940, coming from Bartow.
He was a rancher and citrus grower in the agriculture industry, was a past member of the Florida Cattlemen's Association and Highlands County Cattlemen's Association and a past member of the Masonic Lodge. He attended Word Fellowship Church.
Mr. O'Neal is survived by his wife, Elizabeth O'Neal of Lorida; and children, Jane (Kenny) Hinote of Lorida, Andy O'Neal of Kaplan, La., and Lyn (Jeff) Clair of St. Cloud, Fla.; sister, Bonnie Boney of Lorida; grandchildren, Amy Hinote, J.D Hinote, Selena Clair and Courtney Clair.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Marie Elliott, Peggy Howerton and Louise Waldron.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home, Sebring, Fla. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2009, in the Stephenson-Nelson Chapel, with The Rev. Marcus Marshall officiating. Interment at Basinger Cemetery will be immediately following the service. Donations may be made in Mr. O' Neal' s memory to Hospice of Okeechobee, 411 S.E. 4th St., Okeechobee, Fla., 34974.
