Funeral services for Harvey Ekerdalen, who passed away at the University hospital at Minneapolis on Tuesday, May 15, at the age of 52 years, were held on Saturday, May 19, at the Collins Funeral Chapel at Middle River with Rev. James Hanson officiating. Interment was made in the Folden cemetery at Newfolden.
Mr. Ekerdalen was born on June 12, 1909 at Warren. He attended school and grew to manhood in the Holt community. In 1928, he moved to Newfolden where he resided until 1961. For the past year he had made his home at Minneapolis and for the past several months had been in failing health.
He is survived by one sister, Miss Agnes Ekerdalen, and one brother, Ralph Ekerdalen, both of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Thief River Times, May 24, 1962

Mr. Ekerdalen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Halvor Ekerdalen, was born June 12, 1909 at Warren. He attended school and grew to manhood in the Holt community and moved to Newfolden in 1928 where he lived until 1961 when he moved to Minneapolis to make his home.
Survivors include one sister, Miss Agnes Ekerdalen of Minneapolis; and one brother, Ralph Ekerdalen of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Warren Sheaf, May 30, 1962
