Claude E. Schreiber, 80, of Hutchinson, died June 21, 1997, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Feb. 3, 1917, at Larned, the son of Amos and Edith Huffman Schreiber. A Hutchinson resident since 1968, he was a laborer for the Larned Feed Mill, retiring in 1963.
He was a member of First Church of God, Hutchinson. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.
Survivors include: a twin brother, Clyde, Hutchinson; a sister, Verna Mae Wilson, Hutchinson; several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John C., and sister, Mabel Seifert.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Larned Cemetery, with the Rev. Larry D. Alexander presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Johnson & Sons Funerla Home, Hutchinson. Military graveside honors will be conducted by American Legion Walter S. Chears Post No. 106 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7271.
Memorials may be sent to First Church of God, Hutchinson, in care of the funeral home.
