He was a member of the Masons, Modern Workmen of America, Tribe of Ben Hur, Illinois State Teacher's Assn. and Historical Secretary of the Illinois Baptist State Convention- 1938-39. He researched and wrote several historical papers.

Mr. Rendleman was survived by his wife, Margaret Jane Monroe Rendleman, children: Lillian Mae, Homer Lee and Andrew Jackson. Preceded in death by his sons: William Burt and Charles Edgar.
