| Birth: | Feb. 12, 1864 Kingston Roane County Tennessee, USA | | Death: | Aug. 22, 1944 Ava Douglas County Missouri, USA |  Marrissa Jane Bray, at the tender age of 16, married William Decatur Ballew in Kingston, Roane Co., Tennessee. Two years later the family set out by covered wagon for Missouri where they homesteaded. She and her husband had 10 children together, all of whom attended Hicks School, near Bryant, Mo. William died in 1911. Later, she became Mrs. Taylor C. Carroll, however she was buried with her first husband at her death in 1944.
