George Aguilar was a Sergeant for the Inglewood Police Department in California. He had been in Law Enforcement for a total of 18 years, 15 of those years with Inglewood. He died in the line of duty at age 46. Sgt. Aguilar was making a felony traffic stop on robbery suspects. He was en route to a training session in an unmarked car when he observed a robbery in progress at a nearby gas station. He followed from a safe distance and called for backup.
