Curtis Muhammad returned to Allah on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Santee Wateree Regional Transportation Authority.

Born July 1, 1963, in Sumter County, he was a son of the late Edith B. Williams and Pastor Henry Wilson.

He attended the public schools of New York City and Sumter County, and was a graduate of Sumter High School. He joined the Nation of Islam in 1990. "Curtis," as he was affectionately known, loved his family, volunteer service, and his Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity brothers.

He leaves to mourn his passing: one daughter, Mandy Brunson (Anthony Francis); two grandchildren, Tyrell Clea and DaMali Brunson; two sisters, Bridgette Webster (Ronald) and Nancy Boyd (Jon); two brothers, Thomas Williams (Sakeya) and Kevin Williams (Carrie); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Myschalyne Enid Brunson.

Homecoming celebration: John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter, with the Nation of Islam officiating. The family and the Nation of Islam request that funeral attendees wear light colored apparel.

Pallbearers: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and the Nation of Islam.

Burial: White's Cemetery, Airport Road, Sumte
