Son of John Ashworth (My GGGGGG Grandfather) Born abt.1700.
Father of Moses Vincent Ashworth (1783-VA to 1838-IN).
Grandfather of Thomas Vincent Ashworth (1810-KY to 1875-TX).
Great Grandfather of Monroe Ashworth (1840 - 1922)
Great Great Grandfather of John William Ashworth (1873 - 1946).

John (Morefield) Ashworth died 1822 in Posey Co. IN - son of Jane and stepson of John Ashworth who d. 1788, Pittsylvania Co. VA. Wife was supposedly Nancy Vincent and based on 1820 IN census, she was deceased by then.
Father of Moses Vincent Ashworth (1783-VA to 1838-IN).
Grandfather of Thomas Vincent Ashworth (1810-KY to 1875-TX).

1822 Will:
Posey Co, IN, dated 18 September 1822, proved 24 Sep 1822. "I, John (Morefield) Ashworth Sr., being week in body but sound in mind, make this my last will & testament in which I give & bequeath unto FRANCIS and A. GRANDE ASHWORTH all my right and title to ...... the quarter section of land which I bought of Samuel Hemmet, agreeable to the deed obained from said Hemmet with all improvements and priveledges. I give unto my son A. Grandade Asworth a horse to be the youngest of my horses. I also leave the crop now growing on my plantation to be equally divided between the above named Francis and A. Granade Ashworth. The balance of my personal estate to be sold and so much money to be applied to the use of paying out the balances of my land out of the land office. Then that to be sold and all the remaining part of my estate to be equally diviided amongst all of my children. Signed and delivered my last will and testament this 18th day of September 1822.

testament. (Same witnesses)

Will presented in court Sept 24, 1822 and proved by witness John D. Acuff and on
Sept 25, 1822, Charles Jones, the other witness appeared in court to prove the
will. There is a recording date of Oct. 16, 1823 given by the Clerk of the
Court on the document.

Aged 71 years.
