Amanda may have married Gustavis A. Harris on August 14, 1865. (This information furnished by Mr. Henry Turney.) She would have been twenty two at this time. On the marriage record, her name is recorded as Margaret, so this may not be accurate. She was called "Mandy" by her family, but her middle initial was M., which could have been Margaret. On the records at that time, names could have been misspelled, so this could have been Amanda. She is not listed on any census reports after 1860. If she married Mr. Harris, she probably did not live close to Francis Liveoak.
NOTE: Research done at LDS Family History Center by Gale Liveoak Dyer. Marriage record M 593151 says that Amanda Margaret Liveoak married John Ashcraft on September 06, 1861, in Coosa County, Alabama. Did Mr. Ashcraft die in the Civil War? The marriage to Gustavis A. Harris on August 14, 1865, strongly supports that theory.
