Killed in action - WWII
Killed in action in La Fortuna, south of Livergnano, while serving with the Company I, 361st Infantry Regiment, 91st Infantry Division ... under cover of darkness, Company I advanced one mile behind enemy lines to cut Hwy-65 and found themselves fighting for their very survival over the next few days.
During this operation, Company I, 361st Regiment, 91st Infantry Division was the furthest advanced Allied Army unit in Italy - they were "the tip of the spear"!
Sadly, his twin brother, Pvt Calvin Jennings was also killed in action about 3 months earlier in Normandy. Al knew of this and it broke his heart.
