Oh my, this lady will be greatly missed !!!!
Camille Joy (Kaufman) Allen was born in Alhambra, California on September 1, 1931 to Frederick and Annetta Kaufman. She attended schools in Rosemead and graduated from El Monte High School. Joy passed away in Mission Viejo on December 3, 2011 of congestive heart failure.
Joy married Max Allen in 1952. The Allens had three children: Don and twins Gary and Nancy. Joy and Max founded E.M. Allen Woodworking in La Puente and lived in West Covina. Later they moved to San Clemente.
Joy was an active member of several organizations, including East San Gabriel Mothers of Twins Club, The Fostoria Glass Collectors Club, South Orange County California Genealogical Society, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a lady of many talents, an excellent seamstress, an avid reader, a marvelous decorator, a lifelong glass and antique collector. She was a good friend.
Joy will be greatly missed by the family that survives her: son, Don; daughter, Nancy and son-in-law Steve; grandchildren, Katelynn, Stacie, Daniel; great-grandson, Kason; her sister, Jane; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by husband, Max and son, Gary.
A celebration of life will be held in February. We love you Joy !!!!!
