Blanch N. Oertle, 88, formerly of Tremont, IL, passed away at 3:35 PM. Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009 at McLean County Nursing Home in Normal, IL, where she was a resident.

She was born March 15, 1921 in rural Mackinaw, IL, a daughter of Charles and Mabel Miller White. She married Frank W. Oertle on December 27, 1954 in Pekin, IL and they enjoyed fifty plus years together until his death on January 31, 2005. Blanch was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Survivors include, one sister, Vivien (Earl) White of Tremont, IL, one brother, Loren (Justine) White of Chenoa, IL, and many nieces and nephews.

Blanch was a 1939 graduate of Mackinaw High School and worked 27 years at the Morton Pottery in Morton, IL. She was a jolly, caring, helpful person and a devoted wife. Blanch enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, music, dancing, bingo and word puzzles. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Her funeral will be at 2:00 PM. Sat., Nov. 21, 2009 at Davis Mortuary, Tremont Chapel. Rev. Noah D. Lee will officiate. Visitation will be 2 hours before the service on Sat., at the mortuary. Burial will be in Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Tremont.
