Emma died before either Lutheran church was keeping records and before the local newspaper was in existence. The 1885 Iowa Census is missing at the Iowa Historical Society for Remsen town and township.
On Findagrave, her husband is John Carson Schroeder, buried in Sunset Rest Cemetery, Rushmore, Nobles, Minnesota, USA. Findagrave # 27295956. He was born 29 December 1856 in Moline, Rock Island, Illinois, USA and died 6 July 1948 in Rushmore, Nobles, Minnesota, USA. They were married 7 October 1879 in Vinton, Benton, Iowa, USA
