Matthew Jason Dec was a four year veteran of the Police Department in Meridian TWP near Lansing MI. Jason was a graduate of Sanford Meridian High School in 1999 and from Ferris State University in 1995 with a degree in criminal justice. He was married to Christi Lynn Dodson at Blessed Sacramrent Church in Midland in 1997. He started his career with the Park County Sheriff Department in Colorado.
At age 30 he died unexpectedly in a motorcycle accident near Mt. Hope Road and Chippewa Drive. Jason was survived by his parents, two sisters, and a brother, an uncle, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is buried at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery in Sanford with his brother Douglas Dec.
