Sharon Martha Jones Andrews is the daughter of SFC David Griffith Jones, (US Army) and Ruby Virginia Jones Jones. She has three sisters, Shelley M. Jones, of Oregon (older sibling), Sonia J Yeary, of Virginia (younger sibling), and Susan M. Jones, of Delaware (younger sibling).
Sharon is the wife of David L Andrews (deceased), and the Mother of Virginia Mae Andrews Baldwin and David Griffith "Smurf" Andrews, both of North Carolina. She has 4 Grandchildren and two nephews for whom she played the role of Grandmother as well. Through her husbands family, Sharon also had 3 "Sisters", Joyce, Laura and Lois, and 1 "brother", Robert, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She never considered them in-laws, as they all had a very close relationship.
Sharon lived a simple life, people meant far more to her than material things, and she was well loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She had a great love and respect of nature and of being outdoors. Anywhere from early spring to late fall she was frequently found to be camping, hiking or just picking flowers in the woods behind her home.
Sharon had a sweet, caring and benevolent nature. She lived for helping others, and for decades was the first person that many, many people would go to for help or advice. She would share what she had, point people in the direction to get the help they needed, lend an ear to any tortured soul and would gladly have given the very shirt off her back if it meant that someone else would be warm.
Sharon is still loved and very much missed by her family and friends. I wish there were words to express how very true this is. We console ourselves with the fact that now she rests with the angels, the main one being her husband, who was also her soulmate, confidant, and best friend.
We all love you and miss you very much, my sweet sweet sister.

You were my only family, and I let you down. I shouldn't have moved, I should have at least kept in touch, I know how you felt, I understand the loneliness, and I wish to God I would have been there. We always think there's plenty of time and put off gett...(Read more)|
