Gene R. Lycan, 52, 2915 Fletcher St., died Wednesday at St John's Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born Aug. 23, 1939, in Anderson, and had lived in Anderson and Wabash. He worked for United Tech in North Manchester and at Cook Block for 15 years.
Survivors include his wife, Anna L. Lycan: two sons, Paul William "Bill" Lycan of Wabash and Timothy Gene Lycan of Columbia City; five daughters: Mrs. Dan (Mary A.) Boyer, Mrs. Charles (Marilyn) Dalton and Della Lycan all of Anderson, Mrs. Brad (Delma) Callahan of North Manchester and Jerry Lycan of Wabash. two sisters: Mrs. Clifford (Della) Wilson of Anderson and Mrs. Robert (Bonnie) Bowers of Ann Arbor, Mich.; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son, Gene Raymond Lycan Jr, who passed in 1961.
Services will be at 10 am. Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with the Rev. Loyce Webb officiating. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-8 pm today at the funeral home.
