Janet June (Reinbolt) Goering died October 4, 2013 at the University of Michigan Hospital. She was born June 8, 1935 to Mary Kathryn (Hartley) and Charles Michael Reinbolt. In 1953 she graduated from Woodward High School in Toledo. After graduation her journey lead her to Michigan State College (University) where she met the love of her life. She was married to Gene Arlie Goering on June 26, 1955 at Eden Mennonite Church in Moundridge, Kansas.
Janet loved handiwork including sewing, knitting, crocheting, and especially quilting. She also loved gardening and had rainbows of colorful flowers throughout her yard.
She was preceded in death by her parents –sister-in-law Delia (Goering) Graber and brother-in-laws Vern Graber, Olin Goering and Ray Ediger. Janet is survived by her husband, Gene, her mentor and longtime friend, Myone Sturdevant -her children Michelle (Gail) Gnagey, Gene Jr.(Karen) Goering, Jana (David) Wheeler and Kristi (Stefan) Hiltbrunner- her grandchildren Lydia (Nathan) McKinsey, Elise and Olivia Gnagey, Gene III, Christian, Brandon, and Kathryn Goering, Jacob, Joel, Hannah, Luke, Rachel, Sarah, Benjamin, and Sonya Wheeler, Gabriela and Marta Grace Hiltbrunner- her great grandchild Kathryn McKinsey –her stepmother June Reinbolt–her brothers Charles (Jeannie) and Donald (Sue) Reinbolt, her in-laws Lola (Goering) Ediger, Harvey and Erna(Goering) Stucky, and Homer and Dorothy Goering- and many nieces and nephews.
