'Services Tuesday'
E. A. Awbrey died at St. Joseph hospital at 3 p.m. Sunday after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services will be held at the Goodman and Boller chapel Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock with the Rev. Mark S. Horn officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove cemetery. Friends may call at the Goodman and Boller Funeral Home until time for the services.
Mr. Awbrey was born in Taney county, Missouri, December 13, 1882. He was married to Miss Nettie Rozell, who preceded him in death, on June 23, 1959. They moved to Boonville in 1925 and Mr. Awbrey was employed by the M. K. & T. Railroad for a number of years. He later served as watchman for the business district in Boonville for several years.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert F. Wayland of Phoenix, Arizona, and Mrs. Roy Boggs Jr. of Minneapolis, Minnesota; one son, Don Awbrey, of St. Joseph; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one brother, J. L. Awbrey, of Mt. Judea, Arkansas; two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Hensley of Miami, Okla., and Mrs. Ina Griffith, Parson, Kan.
Mr. Awbrey was a member of Far West Lodge, I.O.O.F. and the Methodist church.
