Birth: unknown
Death: Sep. 18, 2008
Middlesex County
Massachusetts, USA

Jack the cat went over the Rainbow Bridge during
the evening of Sept 18, 2008. Jack was a friendly
stray who took up residence on Heather and Michael
Blauvelt's front porch. He will be dearly missed
by them and their children Joe, Lyndsay and Olivia,
who loved to play and talk to him. He loved his
crate with his favorite blanket and warm straw bed
they made for him.
He will be missed by the Blauvelt family
and the neighbors who used to stop to pet and
talk to him. Rest in Peace Jack and maybe you will
catch up with Pugsley and be able to run around
with him.
And Heather, Michael, Joe, Lynds, and Liv..........
Jack was so lucky to have had you guys, he had a
very nice year with you all, you guys made him a
happy cat and he is now having fun running and
playing like a little kitten! Read these poems
below, and know that Jack is in a very happy
place now, him and Pugs both!

To have loved and then said farewell is better
than to have never loved at all.
For all of the times that you have stooped and
touched my head, fed me my favorite treat and
returned the love that I so unconditionally gave
to you......
for the care that you gave to me so unselfishly...
for all of these things I am grateful and thankful.
I ask that you not grieve for the loss but rejoice
in the fact that we lived, loved and touched each
other's lives.
My life was fuller because you were there --
not as a master/owner, but as my friend.
Today I am as I was in my youth.
The grass is always green, butterflies flit
among the flowers and the sun shines gently
down upon all of God's creatures.
I can run, jump, play and do all of the things
that I did in my youth.
There is no sickness, no aching joints, no
regrets and no aging.
We await the arrival of our lifelong
companions and know that togetherness is
Companions such as you are so rare and unique.
Don't hold the love that you have within
yourself; give it to another like me and then
I will live forever.
For love never really dies, and you are
loved and missed as surely as we are.
Author Ken Conover

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.
It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its
many colors.
Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge, there
is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with
lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to
this place.
There is always food and water and warm
Those old and frail animals are young again.
Those who have been maimed are made whole
They play all day with each other.
Some of them here by the Bridge are

For them there is no one, no special one.
Their time on earth did not give them one.
But one day, as they run and play,
they notice someone standing by the road to the
This person wistfully watches the reunions of
friends, for during life, this person had no pet.
This person was beaten, starved, tortured, and
Standing there alone, one of the unloved pets
approaches, curious as to why this one is alone.
And as the unloved pet and the unloved person
get nearer to each other,a miracle occurs, for
these are the ones who were meant to be together,
the special person and the beloved pet who never
had the chance to meet while on Earth.
Finally, now, at the edge of the
Rainbow Bridge, their souls meet, the pain
and the sorrow disappears, and two friends
are together.
They cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never
again to be separated.
