Jack Kelly Jr., of 1461 Jonesville Highway, Union, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005, at Wallace Thomson Hospital.
A native of Union, he was married to Frances Keisler Kelly for 64 years. He was the son of the late Jack Kelly Sr. and Eva Gallman Kelly. He was a retired engineer with Norfolk Southern Railway and a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Mr. Kelly served on the Union County School District Board of Trustees for 17 years and also served on the Bonham Fire Department Board.
Surviving in addition to his wife are: two daughters, Mary Frances Kelly Woodall and her husband, Dr. Michael V. Woodall Sr. of Douglasville, Pa.; Dr. J. Andrea Kelly of Florence; three sons, Lt. Col. Thomas Russell Kelly (Ret.) and his wife, Laurie, of Annandale, Va., Jack Kelly III and his wife, Linda, of Union and Richard McKay Kelly and his wife, Cornelia, (Neely) of Union; a sister, Helen Ruth (Kelly) Cochran of Charlotte; an aunt, Mrs. Paul (Rita) Greene; six grandchildren, Michael Vance Woodall Jr., and his wife, Dawn, of Darlington, Kevin Francis Woodall and is wife, Collin, of Corte Madara, Calif; Dr. Timothy Gerrard Woodall and his wife, Dr. Kristi V. Woodall of Union, Mary Kathleen W. Brady and her husband, Brad, of Limerick, Pa., Joel Patrick Kelly of Atlanta, Richard McKay Kelly II of Columbia and three great-grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Brady, Michael Vance Woodall III and Spencer Vance Woodall. Mr. Kelly was predeceased by an infant daughter, Eva Marie Kelly.
