LURAH N DOREI
Lurah N Dorei, age 74, passed away March 10, 1971 at the Topeka Convalescent Center after a short illness. Lurah was born March 1, 1897 to George and Martha Killoren of Powhattan, Kansas.
She was united in marriage to Murlin S Dorei, January 8, 1929. He preceded her in death on November 3, 1967. She spent the early part of her life near Powhattan where she began her teaching career at the age of 19. She later taught at White Cloud and taught 19 years in the Oskaloosa Schools. She retired in 1962 and spent the remainder of her life at her home near McLouth. She is survived by one son; William R Dorei, Route 1, McLouth; two brothers: William Killoren, Hiawatha and George R Killoren, Powhattan; two sisters: Mrs Clyde Bartley, Powhattan, and Mrs Theodore Schuetz, Horton, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held March 12 at the McLouth United Methodist Church with burial in the McLouth Cemetery. The Hampton Funeral Home, Oskaloosa was in charge of arrangements.
