H. SACKMASTER, RETIRED GN WORKER, DIES
Henry Sackmaster, 77, 3815 E 7th St., died Saturday at a local hospital after a brief illness.
He was born at Tomah, Feb. 22, 1882, and had resided in Superior since 1910. He was a Great Northern switchman, retiring in 1949 after 37 years of service.
Mr. Sackmaster was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen and the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
Rites will be held at the Church Tuesday, 2 P.M. with the Rev. John H. Simonds officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Paullbearers will be George McLeod, William Budnick, Anthony Pidgeon, Henry DeBryune, Frances Dens and Jack Myers.
Survivors include his wife, Alemda; two sons, Robert, Portland, Ore., Donald, Los Angeles; two daughters, Mrs. John (Jocine) Tappe, New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Mrs. Walter (Gladys) Wieland, Seatte, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Edwards and Mrs. Ida Meloy of Adams.
The Lenroot-Maetzold Furneral Home is in charge.
