Michael R. Han, 45, of Chesterton, Indiana and formerly of Lone Tree and Nichols, Iowa, died Saturday, January 15, 2011, at his home after a valiant fight against brain cancer.
Mike was born May 16, 1965 to parents William Han and Linda (Strause) Hazen. Mike attended schools in Nichols, West Liberty, and Lone Tree, where he was part of the Lone Tree State Football championship team in 1982. Mike graduated from Lone Tree in 1983 and continued his education, graduating from William Penn College in Oskaloosa, Iowa. In 2005, Mike opened his own business, Clear Stamp, Inc., in LaPorte, Indiana. On November 13, 2006, Mike was united in marriage with Bridget Fisher.
Mike is survived by his wife, Bridget, parents, William (Deb) Han and Linda (Mike) Hazen, three brothers, William (Carrie) Han, Ronald (Marissa) Han, Anthony Hazen, and a sister, Shawna Carrier. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph M. Han
and Ula B. Han, and Harvey and Lucille Strause.
