Revolution War veteran.

Jonathan Hazelton was a private in Colonel Badger's New Hampshire regiment in 1778.

He enlisted in the Continental Army at Gilmanton, New Hampshire.

Jonathan Hazelton was born about 1755 and died about 1845.

He married Miriam Bean, daughter of John Bean of Alfred.

His brother John married Miriam's sister, Sally Bean.

At some point they lived at Chatham, New Hampshire.

"Jonathan Hazelton was of Waterborough in 1794, and Oct. 17 of that year sold land to Tobias Lord of Wells.

Sept. 16 1806 he bought for eight hundred dollars, a lot of land from Barnabas Palmer, situated in Waterborough.

April 16, 1806, he and his wife Miriam sold land to Gilbert Hasty.

In 1820 and as late as 1840 Jonathan was recorded as living at Rhode Island and receiving a pension from his Revolutionary War service.

He probably died at Chatham, New Hampshire.
