Mr. Granstaff had been bedfast most of the time for over two years. He developed pneumonia Tuesday morning and his physical strength was so nearly exhausted it was only a few hours until death came.
Up to the time of his illness Mr. Granstaff was in the feed and fuel business with two of his sons Arthur and Charles.
Walker W. Granstaff was born in Tennessee Feb 7, 1845. Forty-six years ago he was married to Miss Sarah Holloway. Nine children were born to them, six of whom are living. Arthur and Charles of Eldon; Emmitt, of Waleeka, Okla; Mrs. E. D. Stiffler, of Jefferson City; Mrs. Josie Winnas, of Minn; and Mrs. Anna Jordan of Marshalltown, Iowa. He was a member of the Christian Church to which he was faithful and loyal. He was a quiet man, never pretending more than he lived up to in his every day life. As a farmer and in business he was successful. The funeral services will be today. The services will be conducted by W. L. Reece pastor of the Christian church. Interment will be made in the Eldon cemetery.
